Lifestyle Portraits & Event Photographer
Here's a bit about me
"If a photographer cares about the people before the lens and is compassionate, much is given. It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument." - Eve Arnold. My love of photography started when I was 12 years old when I took over the family camera and started capturing family and school events. My passion grew though the years taking photo classes through summer school and night school because my high school didn't offer any. I ended up doing a co-op internship with the Toronto Sun my last year of high school falling further in love with photography. After being offered a position with the newspaper, I declined to attend Humber College to take their Creative Photography and Advanced Digital Photography programs graduating from both programs. Since completing my degree in photography I have been freelancing capturing families experiencing their life events and family portraits. I decided to take the adventure of a lifetime to go and work on a cruise ship for 7 years after feeling a great passion of traveling not being fulfilled. I wanted to continue with photography so what better way to be able to travel and still do what I love photographing people and make them feel beautiful. I had the opportunity to travel to over 30 different countries, over 150 different cities and and 5 different continents around the world; an experience I would never give back. In 2012, I decided to leave the cruise ship photography industry and start my own photography studio and Expressions Image Studios was born. Along side with developing my studio and clients I was working with a company in hospital providing newborn and photography services within the hospital where I was blessed to photograph over 3000 newborns over the 2 years I was there. Seeing the parents joy and excitement and being able to capture some of their first memories with their new baby was so rewarding helping me realize the want for my own family. Unfortunately the company went through tough times and no longer exists giving me the opportunity to fully focus on building my studio and the relationship with my clients and more time to meet and develop new relationships and friends. "To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance." - Oscar Wilde
I'm on a mission
To help people feel beautiful, comfortable and at ease in front of the camera while capturing their natural beauty. "A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it." - Edward Steichen
Things I love most
The warmth of the sun, swimming in the ocean, long talks catching up with friends over a bottle of wine, my georgous 2 yr old nephew, making beautiful images for people to love!
